Exploring Costa Rica/Rainforest Adventures

I just had one of the best little mini adventures with my sister this past weekend. On Sunday, we decided to head out to Braulio Carrillo National Park and explore for the day.

About an hours drive away, Braulio Carrillo National Park is a famous rain forest that spans hundreds of acres across a vast moutain highway.

Inside the park, there are a few fun adventurous activities perfect for the nature lover and thrill seeker. We decided to do the aerial tram activity, which also included a 800 meter hike inside the jungle, a frog and snake exhibit and a butterfly garden "tour".

The weather could not have been more perfect for our day outing and my sister and I had a an amazing time spending the day together.

Trying Something New

It's been almost two years since I cut my son's long luscious curls. It was something I did not want to do. It broke my heart to see him go from waist length hair to a crew cut and I was not happy.

I have been waiting for him to start growing his hair back and finally he decided to let me try styling it. He wanted to try something new and I was all too happy to oblige. Not to mention, he has also agreed to grow the top portion of his hair longer. This opens him up to so many different styling opportunities, which makes my heart glad.

Dealing With Construction Delays

Six weeks they said. That was the estimate we were given for the time frame of our new bathroom and patio to be completed.

As with any construction project, I knew there could be delays. I expected it. But we were pretty much on track to finish on time with just a few minor details that needed to be tended to. But as is life, nothing truly goes as planned.

One of the windows in our bathroom came damaged and so it needs to be completely replaced. We're having issues with the water pressure and we need a new breaker to plumb  hot water to the new bathroom as well. Those issues are still being dealt with.

When they say remodeling or renovating a house can be stressful, they were right. I am taking it in stride but I honestly cannot wait for the bathroom and patio to be finished so we can start enjoying the fruits of our money.
