As you may already know, if you follow my blog post, I LOVE food! I love to eat. Stuffing my face is one of my absolute favorite pasttimes and I take any opportunity I can get to do it.
I also love trying new things and new places so when I saw the delectable pan pancakes from Dushi Bakery on Facebook, I had to give them a try. The skillet pancake was to die for. 10 out of 10, what foodie dreams are made of. The perfect sweet treat for breakfast or dessert.
Then, to keep to the food train on track, hubby and I decided to have a date day and scoured the streets of San Pedro for the best place to eat.
We landed on a Peruvian spot that looked pretty good. The menu was popping but unfortunately I ordered the wrong thing, as my meal was lack luster and lacking major flavor.
You'd think the signiture Peruvian dish would be the beat thing on the menu but it wasn't. Hubby liked his dish though, so that was a plus.
Enough about food, let's switch gears to culture for a bit. While the kids were on school break, it was nice finding fun and interesting things to do. On of those things was visiting the Art Museum of Costa Rica.
Surprisingly we'd never been so it was definitely an experience. The Museum is free, so yay for that. Art should be accessible to everyone as it's a part of the culture and helps preserve history.
It's also not a very big museum and doesn't have a ton of exhibits so it was nice strolling through without the rush and being able to visit every exhibit with intent.
Another interesting fact about the Art Museum ia that it used to be the Costa Rican Airport way back in the 1940s.
We had such an amazing time looking at all the amazing art and learning about history. It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon, a quick and affordable outing for all ages.
And to finally finish off the two week break with a bang, we had to go see the new Superman movie, which was pretty good if I do say so myself.
I wasn't sure I would be a fan of the new man of steel but I was pleasantly pleased and look forward to the second installment.
