Time For Vacay: Riu Guanacaste

It's been a dream of mine to vacation at Riu in Guanacaste. As an all inclusive 4.5 star resort, it's not cheap as resorts of that caliber usually come at a premium price.

However, I have been wanting to go to Riu for years, since it first opened and that was over 10 years ago. It took us this long to finally make our way to Riu and it did not disappoint.

Riu Guanacaste is the more family friendly sister resort to the Palace, however it seemed to include pretty much all the same amenities. Our two night stay at Riu was truly an amazing experience and we cannot wait to go back.

Overall, the hotel itself was a 10 out of 10 for me. The grounds, the pools, the beach, the staff. I loved it all. The food was an all you can eat buffet, which is always a yes for me. The food was pretty good however, the next time we venture to Riu we definitely want to try out their Asian style al la carte restaurant. It was a once in an lifetime experience and I have to say, worth every penny.
