Christmas Event Fail

For our first Christmas event of the season, we decided to continue with tradition and attend a mall Christmas tree lighting. It was the official kick start to the holiday season and an activity we've enjoyed throughout the years.

However,  this year it was a big huge fail,  mostly on my part.  The event started at 5:30 and much to my dismay and annoyance,  there was way more traffic than I anticipated. It took longer to get to our destination, which was Terramall in Tres Ríos.

By the time we got to the mall, the line to find nonexistent parking was insane, so we had to park on a side street outside the mall. As you can imagine, the tree lighting and all the festivities had already concluded by the time we stepped foot inside the mall at 6pm. Did I mention it was rainy and misty. Like I said, big, huge fail. We did at least get to see the band and of course, took pics of the gorgeous tree.

To make up for our massive fail the night prior, the next day we had a super fun filled family day out, complete with a visit to the trampoline park and what turned out to be a free dinner at Chilli's.  Now that was a day to remember.
