We finally got the professional photos from my son's college graduation so, of course, I had to share.
I am so proud. Watching him grow into the man he is becoming brings me such joy. I absolutely love being his mom.

Hubby and I love a good date day, date night and a 'just because we can' date. It's a chance for us to spend time together while also trying out new and fun places to eat. I love discovering new restaurants that we can add to our roster and since we both love good food, finding an excuse for a date outing is the perfect way to discover the next best place with amazing dishes.
Food is life but it's also fun and every date needs to have a food component to feel complete. Let's see where we went this past week.
I get to celebrate two Mother's Days every year because I live in Costa Rica and it makes my heart so happy. Costa Rican Mother's day is in August but my original day of celebration is in May. So I get both and I relish in that fact. This year, like every year, all I wanted was to go out and have a good meal. And this time I went with hubby, a friend and her family. The day was magical and I can't wait to celebrate being a mom again real soon.
I had been complaining for years about never being invited to a wedding. Last wedding I attended was my own vow renewal and it was amazing. But to have been a guest at that wedding would have been divine.
I really didn't even need to be invited to such a lavish wedding like that. A simple affair would have been just fine, I just wanted an invite bad.
Fast forward to 2026 and I have two weddings to attend, the first one on May 1st. I would finally get to attend my first wedding as a guest in too many years to count. Hubby's cousin tied the knot to her love and I was happy to be in attendance to witness their union.
It was a simple, pretty traditional and rustic Costa Rican wedding. The ceremony and reception was held at the couple's bar and restaurant in the scenic town of Puriscal. The wedding had an intimate feel even though everyone from close friends to dear family was in attendance. To top off the night, the brides sister got engaged near the end, so I have another Costa Rican wedding to look forward to in the future. Fingers crossed 🤞🏾
My crazy, sometimes hectic, tranquil and wonderful life in Costa Rica. Taking the time to share the moments that matter the most in my life... to share the experiences with my kids, my man and my life in a foreign land.
