Mother's Day Plans

 The way to my heart is through my stomach so every happy occasion is celebrated with food. So when it came time to celebrate another Mother's Day, plans were made to go out to eat. And since I was celebrating with a friend and our daughters,  it made sense to pick a spot I knew everyone would love.

Soberanos was the pick and it did not disappoint.  Truly, my ramen could have been more flavorful and my daughter's drink could have been better but the overall experience was such a vibe, they still get high marks from me.

With the perfect outfit for the occasion,  Mother's Day was everything I hoped it would be. Perfect!

Since hubby had missed out on Mother's day, letting the girls take the spotlight,  we made up for it with an impromptu date day. Ironically enough I had to run it back to the same spot my friends and I went for our Mother's day celebration,  Santo Pecado.  Hubby's drink was something neither of us had ever tried so we had to document it. A spicy margarita style drink that was very interesting but good.

I love living this life, so girly, so soft and filled with little and big moments to celebrate. Everyday deserves recognition and every celebration deserves a good meal... and a yummy cocktail.

Event After Event

 After our amazing beach trip to Tamarindo,  we had a couple of fun events to attend.  

It's never easy leaving a beach vacation but having something to look forward to makes it easier.

We had two birthday parties to attend and the first one was a skate party. 

It had been years since I strapped on skates and took to the rink but it was so much fun, so exhilarating and such a rush. I actually cannot wait to try my hand, or should I say foot, at skating again.

The next event was my mother in laws 80th birthday party.  I actually took so much pleasure in seeing her smile and enjoy herself.  It's so rare she gets doted on so it was a nice change to see her take in all that love on her special day.

To top off the week, I had made plans with my friends to celebrate Costa Rican Mother's day as only we could. I swear a restaurant hates, or rather, loves to see us coming. We're boisterous and fun and just all around a good time.

When cocktails are free flowing,  vibes will always be through the roof.

Spiderman and A Trip To Tamarindo

 On my daughter's must do list was a trip to Tamarindo Beach with her bestie while in town. Of coarse, I was too happy to oblige. After a couple of days searching online for the perfect hotel, we found a condo style apartment that was not only beautiful but also budget friendly. 

But before we headed to the beach, we had to go see the new Spiderman movie as a family and it was amazing!

The movie was epic and the best start to our beach vacay. The next day, we headed out to Tamarindo Beach.

The hotel was an airbnb we found on Booking.com and it was very nice and also, very affordable. 

We made it just in time to the beach to catch the most amazing sunset. Tamarindo has some of the most epic sunsets so it's a must see when at the beach,  especially if it's a clear day.

After cocktails, apps and a little chill time on the beach,  we went back to our hotel for some pool time.

That night was a night to remember and we woke up the next day ready to conquer Tamarindo and all it had to offer.

After breakfast,  it was back to the beach,  this time to actually enjoy the sea and the waves. My daughter and her friend also had to ride horses on the beach, another bucket list must do.

Dinner that night was Italian and it was a spectacular meal. I was pleasantly surprised and the Foccacia appetizer actually blew me away.

It was another epic party night in Tamarindo but we bid adieu a little early because we had big plans the next day.

Playa Conchal is a must visit if you find yourself in Tamarindo.  The water is unreal and it's one of the few beaches in the world where the shoreline is covered with seashells instead of sand. Plus, they offer jetskiing, another must do activity my daughter wanted to check off her list.  

Beach days make me hungry so we made a pit stop at one of the many restaurants that litter the brasilito beach side for something to eat.

The restaurant we chose hit it out the park with the food. Everything was delicious. 

Once back at Tamarindo beach, it was time for a few photos,  cocktails and another epic sunset.

That night saw me have a time at a new spot we'd never tried...this trip to Tamarindo had us trying all new places and they were all hits.

Dessert was incredible. The dj was a vibe and the music had us feeling amazing. 

I even tried an expresso martini for the first time because I felt grown. But it might be my last expresso martini. Although vibes were high, I think this drink might be a little too grown for me.

Overall, our trip to Tamarindo Beach was a huge hit. We had the most amazing time.  It was hit after hit after hit. Amazing sunsets, amazing music and nightlife, amazing food, amazing  new experiences,  amazing all around.
