My Baby Is 10

Entering the double digit era is always such a big deal for me as a mom. It means my kids are officially growing up. And as my youngest turned 10, I knew I would want to commemorate the occasion with a special celebration.

I had to go big to mark just how momentous the occasion was. Going from the single digits in age to the double digits is a really big deal and I had to make sure I celebrated appropriately.

First,  as always is the classroom celebration, which is always a nice and special touch for my kids. A little something extra to remember the day and to make them feel even more special on their big day.

Next, because it was such a special day, celebrating the very first step into the double digits AND because my nephews were here, we decided to take the celebration a little further by taking the kids to Formula Kart Go Kart and then to dinner. The fun continued at home with a piñata, gifts and a cake to end the night.

As special as the day was for my son on his actual birthday,  the big WOW celebration was his party at Nico's Place in Curridabat. This place is amazing. It was probably the most awesome birthday party ever! Not only did my son have the best party but all his friends had a blast as well.

Nico's Place is such a unique concept in terms of party spaces.  The activities are so different from the norm, like biking,  parkour and acrobatics. And the actual space is such a vibe. They have an indoor bike pump track and a mini soccer field. Plus the staff is so incredibly friendly,  professional and easy going.

I have to admit that even though it is an expensive place to host a kids birthday party, the price is 100 percent worth it. I would absolutely do it again.

It was the most incredible day and the most awesome memories were made,  which makes my heart so happy.

As if Nico's Place wasn't enough and because I am the queen of extra, I hired a party company to come in and provide specialty treats to our guests. We had granizados, caramel filled churros plus cotton candy, popcorn and cupcakes for the kids. It was pretty awesome.
