When I started thinking about my 45th birthday, I knew I wanted to do something big. Not too over the top, but just extra enough to satisfy my need to feel special on my special day.
At first I wanted a party, but the more I thought about it, the less it seemed like the kind of celebration that would fulfillmy birthday dreams. I needed something fun, different, unique amd budget friendly.
Then it hit me. I wanted to host a dinner party for my girlfriends and as a fun and unique activity, we could paint ceramics. It would double as a conversation starter and a keepsake.
It was the perfect celebration. And I had the perfect venue. The restaurant Entre Copas y Pinceles actually hosts ceramic painting events and at a super affordable price. Plus, it was only a 12 minute drive from the house. I quickly reserved my date, which happened to be on my actual birthday and paid my deposit. I was too excited.
But as if that wasn't enough, because I'm extra, I had to celebrate the entire weekend and I knew just what I wanted to do to top off my birthday. I'd been stalking The Capital Grille for some time and knew I wanted to have my special birthday dinner at that restaurant.
It's a super luxe and fancy dining establishment, not to mention extremely expensive. But it was the one thing I felt I needed to do for my birthday. So hubby obliged, and I had the most luxurious dining experience of my life. The ambiance was incredible, the vibe amazing and the food, service and staff were impeccable. Everything was 10 out of 10.
To end the weekend of festivities, I had to include the kids in the celebrations as well. I couldn't have such an epic weekend without them. I'd wanted to give the Asian fusion restaurant Tin Jo a try for a while, so I thought it was the perfect place to have my last birthday dinner.
It was the best birthday weekend ever!
