I knew I'd be hosting Thanksgiving this year, so when my daughter came to me about hosting a Halloween party, I was initially against it.
Back in the day, I was THE hosting queen, but life has come full circle and my hosting days have kind of disappeared. The kids got older and I got tired. But the idea of getting back into my hosting bag was too enticing to pass up, so I ultimately decided to throw the party.
The idea started off as a party, but in the end, it turned into a Halloween get together and I was just fine with that. Starting to host again, I wanted to just dip my feet in instead of jumping head first. And the shindig turned out perfectly. It was a great night filled with karaoke, fun games and fun food. And because it was a smaller, more intimate affair, I never once felt overwhelmed.
