While the kids were on school vacation, I tried my best to plan a few fun activities to get us out the house that wouldn't break the bank. One of those activities was the Children's Museum. A fun, chill day out that cost very little but packs in a ton to do with kids of all ages. And bonus was the canopy activity they added during vacation as a little something extra do.
We loved our day at the Children's Museum.
Another fun thing to do is a trip to the mall, always. Even if shopping isn't on the agenda because of the budget, it's never a bad idea just going for a quick bite to eat and a little bit of window shopping. Plus it gives me a chance to show off my styled fits, thanks to the help of Pinterest.
There are so many shopping free mall trips we can take though, before we have to switch it up and do something different, like go out to eat. From a quick little outing to Pizza Hub for some good cocktails to Yokohama for their sushi promo, eating out never gets old.
And we have to end a good meal with a yummy dessert. My daughter's masterpiece, a red velvet boxed cake decorated to perfection.
It's school vacation and the kids like being out and about having a good time, but hubby and I cannot forget about date night. Squeezing in a fun night out with my man, my man, my man is so important too. We deserve.
And date night can be as simple as heading up the street to our local bar/restaurant or going to a night club to party it up with family while we enjoy good music and strong drinks, just feeling the vibes.
Then I had to catch up with the gworls. Girls night out with my friends finally left the group chat after months of trying to figure out schedules and timing. A local bar and restaurant was the location of choice as we celebrated our friend on her recent birthday.
There's so much to do on vacation that doesn't involve a beach, although that is the ultimate vacation to me. But there is so much fun out there to be had, and we had it and on a budget.
