Triple Date Nights

Having our daughter home was such a nice gift. It made us realize just how much her presence is missed. So to take advantage of her being home, we went on a few triple dates together. A nice daddy mother daughter time.

A trip to one of our favorite spots was a must for some delicious cocktails and a pizza. Pizza Hub never disappoints.

We also have a fun night out with our daughter's best friend tagging along to a speak easy style jazz concert. The vibe was high and it was giving 1940s Jazz era with the basement thrown in for good measure .

Then of course,  a mommy daughter day was a must with a trip to my favorite boba spot for some of the best bubble tea in the San Jose area.

The Final Countdown: The Aquarium and Downtown Boston

We had to end our epic Family Vacation with a bang so we headed to the New England Aquarium, the only aquarium I know and one that gives me such nostalgia. Then finishing the day at the historic Boston Common and Boston Garden.

The aquarium is a gem and worth a few visits.  It isn't very big so all you need is couple of hours and a free afternoon for set your perfect outing in motion.

Not to be outdone,  downtown Boston is one of the places you need to put on your must visit list. Full of history and beauty, it's a favorite of mine for sure. I spent a lot of my teenage years downtown,  shopping, eating and hanging out with friends. And of course,  strolling through the iconic Boston Common and Boston Garden.

Once it was time to head back home, a quick detour was necessary to check another historic site off my list. The Boston Freedom trail, marked by a line of red bricks, runs through Boston for about 2.5 miles and showcases some of the most historical places in and around the city.

We were able to visit two Freedom trail sites, the old State Church which is over 200 years old and the old cemetery where many important historical figures are buried. It gave me goosebumps knowing I was standing just outside a place that has so much history and significance in a town I used to call home.

Sadly but also happily a few days later, it was time to say goodbye to Boston and head back home to Costa Rica.  It was an incredible trip with memories I will treasure forever.
