Summertime In New York City

 Spending 24 hours in New York is not for the week. There was a lot of walking on the crowded NYC streets in subpar weather but it was worth it. Bucket list fulfilled!

First stop in New York was Times Square and Jollibee for my first ever chicken joy meal. 

Next up, the must visit Nintendo Store. With only three stores in the world, the Times Square location was a must see.

We were able to see a lot more iconic sights and locations this trip, which meant so much and definitely fulfilled a dream for me

Back out on the busy NYC streets, the next store we visited was the Disney Store. The decor was reminiscent of a fantastical Disney film.

City views abound, our next stop was the iconic Grand Central Station,  where your girl was spotted making her own little bit of history. 

Passing by on our way back to Times Square had us walking through Bryant Park, shut down for the night but still picturesque. 

Then of course the magnificent Times Square in all it's glory at night, when it tends to come most alive. Photos do not do it justice. 

It was a memorable first day but nothing could compare to the next day. We had plans to see one of the most iconic landmark pieces in the world.

The views of the city skyline from the Staten Island Ferry are unmatched.  Seeing New York from the water in all its glory was definitely an incredible experience. But the best was yet to come.

Getting a near up close glimpse of Lady Liberty in all her glory was an emotional experience for me. Seeing the Statue of Liberty for the first time in real life felt surreal. A truly memorable moment, one I will never forget.

After so much excitement, it was time to eat and my New York bagel did not disappoint.

After breakfast,  it was back out on the streets, towards the one and only Central Park

We only got a small glimpse of Central Park the first time we visited. This time I made it a point to delve deeper into the wonders of the park, to catch a few scenic pics and visit a couple of famous spots. 

We ended up at the Bethesda Terrace and Fountain, where many an iconic movie scene was filmed. 

Central Park was the last important stop on our NYC itinerary, with most of the places we wanted to visit checked off our list. The last thing we needed was a slice of New York pizza and then we headed back to Boston to continue with our epic Family Vacation.
