Just an old Christmas rhyme that I remembered last night from my childhood days in Jamaica:
"Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat
Please put a 10 cents in the old man's hat
If you don't have a 10 cents, a 5 cents will do
If you don't have a 5 cents then God Bless you
We wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year!"
Not sure why, all of a sudden, this little 'jingle' crept into my head last night as I was trying to drift off to sleep, but it reminded me of my younger days and really put me in a good, festive mood.
Just had to share.
